Plain particle board is a panel product formed by
arranging the particles of lignocellulosic materials in a graded manner such
that the smallest particles forms the top most layers and the largest
particles form the middle layer. In our particle board there is a gradual
density gradient from the outer surfaces to the center of the panel. So the
nomenclature is flat pressed three layer particle board as per definition
given under IS:3087.
This particle board is classified in two types, Grade-I and Grade-II based
on the physical and mechanical properties given under technical
specification.
The advantages of three layerd particle board over single layered particle
board is that the construction is well balanced about the central plane.
The plain particle board can be used for Sound Box, Stereo Tower Box, False
Ceiling, Shields, Wall Lining, Office Furniture with laquaring etc.
